GdV Update

Goodmorning, Goodafternoon,Goodevening, Goodnight !  This post was supposed to be up at least two days ago, but the demonic forces within my laptop rebuked it. Decided to put together some bits and pieces of samples and items we have in stock. Just to show you guys we are actually working on it, a little sneak preview. Before you go *HAM* on the red bottoms of the sample shoes shown below please note that they are just samples we received and we do not intend to sell replica’s of well known designers to our consumers. Our aim is to offer consumers must haves items at an affordable rate and just make them happy. Whether it be red bottoms, yellow or green, a killer heel remains a killer heel ! We have done our research and found out to our suprise that a majority of our target group does  not mind wearing GdV heels with red soles. 

In other news, the webshop is actually under construction *huuray*. We are working hard and finally making some progress.  I got two more days left of hard labour (my part-time job) and then I’ll be off for 2 weeks !  I promise to make proper use of my time and keep you guys up to date more often !

The fullfinger tho is something I havent seen on a lot of folks although I know BJ Jules by Kim had them a while ago!

This right here is a earcuff kinda thing, as you can see it is a serpent! I am very scared of this item, but I know there are a lot of people who will like this & rock the hell out of it!

This was my first attempt to add something new onto a dress. It was on the last night of my holiday in Ghana Januari 2011. I purchased that dress online from Asos for £8 and the necklace at Primark for I think €4 im not sure!

Well last night out and I found the dress to be boring so I sow the chain onto the dress ! Well here you have it!

GdV update !

Hey y'all fab ones! It's been a while now but we got a pretty good excuse for it! Bein busy working 2 jobs and studying for my oh so many resits,  makes it quite difficult to keep up with this blog!
Buuut that doesnt mean that were not working toward our goals! We have been researchin and ordering samples. Aaand we have also been searchin for a webshop, so it wont be long before you guys can actually order 'celeb inspired, fashion forward' products! In the mean time, bear with our busy asses!
Now lets get down to business!
So summer is on a visit & we want to pop off our ideas, clothing style and more before she goes back to wherever!

Last month I came accross a hot pair of heelless wedge, so I went on a quest to find out were to purchase these heels!

Those heels turned out to be from Jeffrey Campbell's Vicious line!

The prices start at $209.95 ( appr. £170)  buy it here!

But dont forget, we on that affordable ish, soo I have found a look-a-like on a certain webshop and you cant tell the difference! A similar wedge for a whopping £45.99 to all my ladies on a budget, pls click here!

A while ago, I posted an article about Draya's Mint Swim (of which I'm still waiting for my 'after party'!). I posted a picture of her in a bathingsuit rocking HOT wedges! There were a lot of questions regarding the shoe, so I did my research.

These shoes are provided by Lush Boutique in USA and can be ordered online! I must say these shoes are not for 'budget females' as myself!
The webshop is XTC Shoes , let me break down the prices before you hurry up and visit the site without any warning lol. The first and second ones are $325 and the last one $225! They also have a clear/transparent wedge called 'Draya clear' for $259! Now go check that website out!

While am havin it about shoes imma drop this lil bom on you guys! We have actually seen some hot, fashionable and celeb inspired shoes that we wanna put on the market for y'all! I cant let much go but here is a sneak peak of what we have in mind!

Last but defo not the least! A look-for-less inspired  by the one and only Evelyn Lozada, whoop whoop!

On the BBW reunion last month our BFF Ev wore a maxi skirt with double slit! The cropped jumper with a zip on the back made her outfit special however what completed this look was ofcourse her CL Anniversary heels of $2595!

I searched and searched but havent found the cropped jumper, I also havent found an exact same skirt but a similar one!

I purchased this 3 weeks ago at Mango, they were in sale for €19,95! A skirt having double slit for just €20! Yeah I went insane, I bought the red top for €12,- to fulfil the skirt until I find the zipped cropped jumper!

Hey y'all fab ladies, as you all know this blog is mainly about inspired items. Gathering a number of products I will now post about various items a lot of celebs are rocking. This edition will be about accessories! ENJOY!

I will start with the Cassie inspired 'bullet hoop earrings'. Cassie was rocking these earrings at the Paris Fashion Week!

 As many of you know BBW earrings are the IT-things now! These earrings were introduced by Evelyn Lozada who worn them during the show. She also sold the earrings in her shop 'Dulce'. The earrings she wore and sold were made by POParazzi! Many cast members wore and still wear these hot earrings. Despite the fact that I wasn't born and bred in Africa, I feel and I am African inside out ! And I'm all crazy about African inspired looks. The beautiful prints, the touch of the fabric, I love everything ! One of my favourite items when it comes to these looks is the head wrap. Been loving head wraps since way back, I'm sure every African girl's mum use to rock these to church, most still do. But who would have thought our household wrap would become a fashion forward item. It can be wrapped in various styles, covering ur whole head or partially. Depends on the way you want it. The reason why I felt the head wrap should become a GdV item is because I got a lot of positive feedback from people on the streets when I rocked my head wrap. Mainly asking what shop I got it from and how much it cost etc.

C H A I N I T U P !

Been a while since we have updated  you guys on GdV items. We are still working hard on them and look forward to posting alot more of our items, so please bare with us.

This particular item is one I like alot ! As you can see, it is a layered necklace that comes in the colour gold. This type of  necklace is one I'm sure all of us have seen before, whether it be pearls or just normal chains. Its just one of those items u cant go wrong with.

With a necklace like this it is important to make sure that the rest of your look is lowkey, as it already draws alot of attention. Picture yourself with a tight hairbun, white tanktop and a bright coloured maxi skirt, adding this necklace to give the whole look a bit more character. Or even on a night out, rocking a daring black dress with this necklace to give your look a bit more ‘’umpf’’.  Either way you cant go wrong !

As y'all already know I love Draya and whatever shes up to. Yesterday she posted 2 pics of her on Twitter wearing a Canadian designer called Mark Fast. Mark Fast is a 30 year old Canadian knitwear designer who has worked with Swarovski, Topshop, Christian Louboutin and more! He got them celebs looking extra hot these days.

During Basketball Wives LA Draya talked about her new business venture Mint Swim. She showed us samples of fabrique she wanted to use. Well her site : Mint Swim is now up and from 30th of May, we can actually shop Mint Swim. Mint Swim is only producing 800 units per collection and I got a few pics for you to peek into the new collection of Mint Swim! The suits are for $75 a piece!

RIP The Runway - Lil Kim

Hey ladies! I'm back with some more mesh/sheer side patterns! My previous post was about Stella McCartney's 2011 fall collection, I ended with Lil Kim wearing a side pattern sheer jumpsuit from that collection for a photoshoot. And here she wears a similair type.

At the BET's  'RIP the Runway' Lil Kim performed in an interesting outfit! Let me break it down for ya, lol. She wore a sequince detailed jumpsuit with a sheer/mesh side pattern! She topped her outfit with Michael Antonio's hot yellow heels ! I LOVE them!

Stella McCartney's Jumpsuit

Goodmorning readers, remember the post about my birthday dress? I said I would write more about the style that many celebs are holding on to, well yeah I'm back with some more.


The dress I wore for my birthday was inspired by the Stella McCartney's Fall 2011 collection. I have seen so many different styles from then till now. I posted a picture of Toya & Kimbella both wearing different styles of the 'sheer, polka dots' outfit. So Stella has the dress, jumpsuit, peplum version everything!
And she also has uncountable celebs wearing them, from J-Lo to Liv Tyler, from Kris Jenner to Kate Winslet!

 Here on the right, you see Rosa Acosta wearing the jumpsuit and it looks stunning on her, but hey what doesn't?!!

And on the other side we have Gwen Stefani rocking her jumpsuit but without polka dots! This collection of Stella has so much variation for everybody's preferance!

And last on my list,  Queen B aka Lil Kim, in Stella's jumpsuit for a photoshoot. Well from this look I can tell Lil Kim is liking the whole 'sheer side mesh' look as she worn a jumpsuit like this at her 'RIP the runway' performance.
